When the Shoemoney System first launched a month ago, it was limiting enrollment positions to only 500 students. Well I have great news for you especially if you missed signing up for this great learning experience the first time around. Jeremy Shoemaker, the creator of the system, has re-opened the doors!

The system is designed incredibly to have you making your first real $100 within the first month and $500 by the end of month two. Another solid guarantee is that after just only 3 months of being on board with the system, you will have made your first actual $1000. It’s all about results. Shoe has also secured exclusive deals with Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Facebook, SponsoredTweets, Azoogle and a few others. Every student of the ShoeMoney System will be awarded a total of $2,500 in advertising coupons. Those coupons more than pay for the course!

It really does take pure beginners and turns them into experienced online marketers. Not to mention, the support that you receive when you have questions is first class. You are literally able to send Jeremy Shoemaker an email using his personal email address and he replies to you very promptly with a detailed answer to your question. The Shoemoney System also has a team of experts working behind the scenes to help out the students as needed.

Here are some testimonials of what the first 500 students of the inaugural Shoemoney System launch are saying:

+ “I cannot believe this ! In less than 16 hours
with no more time spent than 1.5 hours I have made my
first arbitrage deal on ebay and made my first $437.00!”

+ “Jeremy, thank you thank you thank you for creating
this product. I made my first commission today and I

Finally a program has been released for Twitter advertising where you choose the advertiser versus the advertiser choosing you. This has been the past trend with sites such as Sponsored Tweets and Ad.ly where you set up an account and wait, and wait, and wait some more – especially if you do not have a Twitter following of some large proportions or your name isn’t Kim Kardashian. It’s just hard for beginners to make money from those sites.

So what is this new money making program called for making cash on Twitter? It’s called My Likes. All you need to do is sign up for an account, link your current Twitter account (using the Twitter OAuth system) to it and start finding advertisers that you would like to promote.

The reason why it’s called My Likes is because you promote the advertisers products in the form of tweeting about how much you like the product. It’s a soft sell versus a hard sell. I like this concept much more than shoving products down peoples’ throats on Twitter. All you’re doing with My Likes is telling people on Twitter or your blog about things that you like.

The great thing about My Likes is that there is no waiting time to get started making money. Just hop into your account and choose the advertisers you wish to promote for! Next, simply Tweet about how much you like their product or place an embedded image/link in a blog article or page. This is great for people who are not Twitter rockstars.

Instead of being paid per tweet, you are paid for every click your promotion ad receives which opens the doors to a better money making opportunity of recurring payments. Your cost-per-click is automatically determined by the system and is constantly adjusted according to how relevant and influential your Likes are. My Likes does allow you set a tweet price just in case an advertiser wishes to purchase a tweet directly from you. My Likes also boasts the industries quickest payment schedule since they pay you any earnings over $2 once per week every Friday. You may also opt to donate your earnings to charity if you’re already high roller!

So get right on this My Likes opportunity and good luck with it!

Now you should have your keyword decided on and have registered it as your domain name. What we need to do next is set up the actual website for which you will use to promote your affiliate product.

Here is what we will be doing in Part 2:

Installing Wordpress.

Choosing The Right Wordpress Theme.

Essential Plugins For Better SEO.

Step 1: Installing Wordpress

The main reason why I chose Wordpress is because it is very SEO (search engine optimization) friendly and indexes and ranks well with search engines in general but primarily Google. It also offers us some useful features exclusive to Wordpress in the way of flexibility with our sniper site setup.

Firstly you will want to download Wordpress version 2.9.1 and extract the folder onto your desktop. Next you will need to download and install an FTP client to access your server. I prefer to use FileZilla since it is free. When you set up your hosting with Omnis they provide you with your FTP login information in an email. FTP just means File Transfer Protocol. To set up a new site connection in FileZilla just go to File>Site Manager>Click on New Site and enter in the FTP information Omnis gave you then save it and click “connect”. Now you’re in the area that will contain the files of your website! Note: the host will be ftp:yourdomain.com and don’t worry about the Port.

When you log into your Omnis FTP server through FileZilla, you will see your computer contents on the left and the FTP server contents on the right. The bottom right hand box is what we want to be looking at right now. In it you will notice an “etc” and “www” folder. Double click on the “www” folder as this is the root directory of our domain name that we just registered. We want to put the Wordpress files into this directory.

In the top left box click on desktop as this is where we put the Wordpress folder. You will notice now that the bottom left box is displaying the contents of our desktop. Look for the Wordpress folder and double click to open it. Select all of the files by pressing Ctrl+A, right click on them and click Upload. Now you will see your Wordpress files uploading. This will take a little while so go grab a drink.

Note: You can use Omnis’ File Manager to do this however I am old school and like to use standalone FTP clients. They provide a better layout for visualization than any web hosts’ online FTP clients.

Once you have all of the Wordpress files uploaded to the root directory go type your domain into your browser and there you will see that Wordpress is asking you to install it. Follow the instructions and eventually you will come to a window where it is asking for some database information. For this you will need to go into your Omnis account and click on MySQL Manager then in the next window Create A New Database. Follow the steps Omnis provides creating a new database name, user login name and password. The hostname that Wordpress asks for is just mysql.yourdomain.com. Click next on the Wordpress installation and it will take care of the rest of the installation.

Great! Now you have a website with Wordpress installed on it! If you type in your domain name you will see just a very simple website. That is the Wordpress default theme.

Step 2: Choosing The Right Wordpress Theme

There are thousands of free themes out there. However, the default theme works great if you’re promoting an affiliate product like weight loss where you are trying to come off as a middle-aged woman who is not tech savvy. If you’re into promoting products like software or money making systems then you will want something a little more professional looking. However don’t ever go over the top with your theme design to the point where you don’t seem believable to the visitor. The theme needs to fit the character you’re trying to portray. Remember, we are trying to drive sales and not win a design contest.

Another key to success in using the right theme is to put yourself in the position of the potential buyer. Ask yourself a question like “What would the look and feel be of a website that you would feel comfortable buying this product from?”

Generally, for a personal story type website where I am trying to come off as a person who has lost a lot of weight and am sharing my discovery, I use a simple theme like the Wordpress default. If I am doing a product review I will tend to use the i2Theme.

A great versatile theme I like to use outside of the default Wordpress theme is the i2Theme by MangoOrange. It’s simple, clean and doesn’t make you look like a money hungry affiliate.

Installing a Wordpress theme is simple. Download the Wordpress theme that you would like to use (keep in mind my suggestions for theme selection) and extract the theme file to your desktop. Log into your FTP server using FileZilla. When you double click on the “www” down in the bottom right box you will see all of the Wordpress files appear. Next you click on the “wp-content” folder and then the “themes” folder. This is the directory that you will upload your theme to. Look in the bottom left box (which should be displaying your desktop files) select the theme folder, right click and click “Upload”.

Once it is done uploading, go back to your Wordpress admin panel by typing www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin. In this page you will enter your user name and password which would’ve been given to you when you installed Wordpress in Step 1. Next, click “Appearance” and then under that “Themes”. Now you should see the theme that you just finished uploading to your site’s theme directory. Simply click on “Activate” under the thumbnail picture and you’re set! Go check out how your theme looks now.

Step 3: Essential Plugins For Better SEO

There are 2 plugins I recommend to enhance your website’s SEO. To get to where you need to be to install plugins, log in to your Wordpress admin panel by typing www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin.

Now that you’re logged in you will need to click on “Add New” under the “Plugins” column. To the right of that you will now see a search box. The first plugin we want is Google XML Sitemaps. Type that in and hit search. It should be the first one on the list in the search results. Click on “Install” on the far right hand side. A small window will come up in which you will need to click on the orange button that says “Install Now”. Another window will come up after installation with an “Activate” button. Click that to activate. Now you’ve installed your first plugin!

For the next plugin we will use the same procedure outlined above to install and activate it. The name of the plugin is All-In-One SEO Pack.

Now that we have the basic foundation of our website set up, we are off to a good start. In Part 3 I will show you how to optimize the entire website for better SEO.

I will be doing a series of these posts breaking down each step I use to build what is known as a sniper site. These sites are made with the purpose to rank on the first page in Google and gain organic search traffic. You will not need to pay for any PPC (pay per click) marketing to drive traffic to your site since the site will be designed to be on the first page for the keyword search result. This type of site building process has been popular lately and made famous by George Brown and his Google Sniper system. He offers a system that you are able to buy and he will teach you how to do this. However, I will teach you how I do it for free and it’s as effective.

Let’s look at the key elements that will get us started with our affiliate sniper site.

Our target market and product.

Main keyword research.

Registering our domain name and getting hosting if you don’t already have that.

Now I will break those points down into further detail so that you may follow along exactly.

Step 1: Our Target Market And Product Choice

The easiest way to get started in affiliate marketing (especially if you’re new to this) is with a company called ClickBank as most affiliate networks out there screen applicants and many newbie’s do not even get accepted the first go around. So head over to ClickBank and sign up. It’s free and they have a wealth of good products to promote.

Next you will need to decide what it is that you would like to promote on your sniper site. I often look for something that I understand, provides a reoccurring payment (means I get residual payments monthly for as long as the user I referred stays signed on – denoted as “Future $” in ClickBank) and a commission percentage of at least 70%. Also, the gravity of the product is important since it represents the popularity of the product and will give you an idea of its conversion rate. An example of conversion rate would be something like for every 10 people who come and view the product, 2 actually sign up and buy it. That would be called a 20% conversion rate.

Now that we have the payout criteria of what our product should meet lets decide on the product itself. Again, if there is a niche that you understand and it can be monetized well, then go for it. The other way is take a look at what peoples’ problems are on the web. Problems they are actually willing to pay for a solution to solve. Yahoo Answers is a great source to start looking for what the market wants. Off the top of my head, weight loss and financial problems (ironically) are problems people a willing to pay for a solution.

Step 2: Researching Our Main Keyword

So now you should’ve decided on what you wish to promote. Our next step is keyword research and is likely the most important step involved in making this entire project successful. I am going to arbitrarily choose a niche here to give you an example of how to research a keyword for it. The niche in this case will be dog houses. Later, we will want our domain name to be our final chosen keyword.

Note: Your keyword can be the merchants product name in which case if the domain for that name is already taken I just add “review” or “info” to the end of it. You may also try .net and .org if .com is already taken. This can get a lot of natural traffic since many people search for products by typing in the product name which obviously makes it a good keyword.

The example I am using here is a keyword based on a niche. So now I’ve gone over to Google’s Keyword Tool (which is free to use by the way) and I’ve typed in a root keyword which I think relates to this niche.

Criteria that I use when finding my keyword:

Around 2,000-4,000 Global Monthly Search Volume. The reason why I chose these numbers is because anything higher than this will usually mean the competition for the keyword will be a lot higher. Also, anything less will make money, but not enough to be worth my time building a site around it since it will be lacking in search volume.

10,000 or less competing sites when you enter the keyword in quotation marks into Google. Such as “dog houses”. Anymore than that and we will have a hard time getting our site to rank on the first page. You’ll see what I mean later.

Try to pick a long tail keyword. The reason why is because our chances of ranking for more variations are greater. A 3 term keyword is great. Also, authority sites tend to dominate the shorter and broader keywords.

I started with a general root keyword by typing in dog houses. Of course, it came up with a ton of keywords – most of which the competition was high. I sorted the Global Monthly Search Volume by descending order simply by clicking on it. I also selected Phrase for the Match Type. Why? Because we are looking for a phrase keyword. I will explain this in a bit.

Looking through the keyword list I found dog house designs. I entered it into Google in quotation marks and the number of competition pages Google found for this term was 3,590. That fits within our criteria. Not to mention it has a search volume of 2,900 searches per month which is decent for what we’re doing. It might take you a couple of tries to find a keyword with the low competition you are looking for but just keep trying. Just don’t bother entering in the keywords with like 30,000 searches per month since those are almost always too competitive.

One little trick you can do is take a suitable keyword that Google has found and re-enter it back into the keyword search tool if you are having problems finding one with low enough competition. I also recommend checking the “Additional keywords to consider” which you’ll see if you scroll down to the bottom of the related keywords list.

So the reason why I chose Phrase for Match Type in the keyword tool is because I want to see the search volume for that exact phrase. Google looks at it as a whole unit, if you will, in the search results. It will not take into account a variation like dog house interior designs as it would if you selected Broad for the Match Type. Also, we do not want the Exact match either since that limits search results to our keyword phrase exclusively. The Phrase match will allow variations but with the core phrase still intact such as awesome dog house designs or dog house designs on dvd. This gives us the best flexibility with the keyword while still keeping it focused for our purposes.

Google’s explanation:

Broad match: keyword (no punctuation)
Allows your ad to show for searches on similar phrases and relevant variations

Phrase match: “keyword”
Allows your ad to show for searches that match the exact phrase

Exact match: [keyword]
Allows your ad to show for searches that match the exact phrase exclusively

Negative match: -keyword
Ensures your ad doesn’t show for any search that includes that term

Now that our keyword has met all of our criteria, we do a search with it in Google without the quotation marks and just do a scan on the first page to see what our competition is like since that is the page we are shooting for. The odd time you will however come across the situation where you are just not able to find a suitable keyword so you may have to look into another niche.

I do the search in FireFox with a Google page rank and Alexa rating plugin. Any site that comes up whose home page has a Google page rank of 4 or higher and less than 500,000 on Alexa will be generally tough to out rank. So check those stats out. Also, we cannot out rank authority sites. These are sites with tons of relevant content, tons of back links and are generally well known. So if the first page is littered with these types of sites, move onto the next keyword. Wikipedia, WikiHow and large product sites are some examples of this.

Sites we can out rank are blogs, article submission sites, social bookmarking sites and web pages like Yahoo Answers. The only reason why they would be ranking so high is because Google could not find anything more relevant to show.

For those of you who are impatient and do not prefer to research a keyword the manual way, I do recommend an automated keyword finding piece of software called Micro Niche Finder. It will do the entire task in a fraction of the time. It’s a great tool to increase your productivity. However my free way works perfectly fine.

Step 3: Registering A Domain Name And Hosting It

Lastly is to register the keyword as your domain name. Example: doghousedesigns.com If possible try to get .com. If not you may use .net or .org. I personally use Omnis Network for my hosting and domain purchases. I am not going to get into how to set up a domain or hosting package as Omnis does provide you with information on that as well as many other free sources on the net.

Part 2 which I will start working on next will be about setting up the bare bones of our sniper site in terms of platform choice and some other components that we will need. So keep checking back!

If anyone has any questions on this article please comment and I will do my best to answer you.

Very rarely do we actually get to see what other online marketers are ACTUALLY doing to make the sales they are. Most will not tell you since it costs them their own time and money to research a case study and feel that the information should remain intimate to them. That, or they try to sell it to you in a program that teaches you how to make money. Either way, it’s rare to see examples like this and I hope this puts Facebook advertising into perspective for more people.

I grabbed this posted case study off of JohnChow.com and it was written by the CEO of Purpose Inc. He used it as his panel presentation at the recent Affiliate Summit West held in Las Vegas. I’ve quoted it exactly so please do not blame me for some of the spelling and grammatical errors!

Again, this is not theory meant to lead you around and around in circles. This is designed to show you how to get real world results.

My name is dk, CEO of Purpose Inc. John has very graciously allowed me to share myFacebook Advertising Presentation from Affiliate Summit with his readers.

When I speak, people repeatedly ask for actual case studies. The week before Affiliate Summit, in four days, I did the following test. I spent about 4 hours on it, and one of myprogrammers put in probably about the same amount of time making landing pages.

I first started 10 years ago in local internet marketing for my La Jolla Chiropractic Office. I got into Facebook advertising, after reading Shoemoney’s first write up on local facebook advertising, which is now part of the Shoemoney System

6X Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion Robert Drysdale

I have been helping my friend Robert Drysdale with his new site where you can learn to do Jiu Jitsu online. Here is some info about Robert on my first slide.

Facebook Advertising Campaign Goals

I spoke in detail with Sean Rigo, Robert’s business partner on the site. We discussed expectations on the site, and agreed that if we could get quality people to visit the site, who were interested in learning jiu jitsu online, for $10 each we could probably make it work. The site is not live yet, so this is only a guess.

Whenever I do a campaign for any product, the first thing I do is put myself in the position of the user. Why would they buy the product? Who would buy the product? What do I know about them? The key question was…

PPC Advertising Landing Pages

Initially just put up landing pages, whose templates had worked before, but with new text and images.

Facebook Ad Demographics

The initial goal here was to find an image, title and ad text that would lead to at least some clicks as a starting point. We then tried many different ads with different demographics to see what we could discover. This would lead to the starting ad and demographics.

Then I came up with more ads with different demographics that we tested.

Click Through Rate

The CTR is the percentage of people who saw the ad, that clicked on it. We used that as a first indication of an ad that made people interested. The final ad that says De-Knot your stomach got almost no clicks, and Facebook stopped showing it. One of my staff thought the guy looked hot, so I imediately killed that ad!

The winner of the first round of testing was, “Afraid to Go to School” At $0.29 per click, it was in the ball park for traffic we might be able to work with. This had a grammar error in it, Bully’ s instead of Bullys. It worked with the grammar error, so we left it.

Testing Color Variations

Now it was time to test for better landing pages. Without the site live, I preferred to get the traffic as inexpensively as possible, and verify the users were actually interested enough to at least give up some of their personal data. So we kept going with the testing.

We had made the following landing page when we first made the Bullys ad. No special thought had been used to make the page, but instead was made based on successful templates we had used in the past. The ads were written from the mindset of a kid who is afraid of going to school. When I was a kid, I went to Sun Valley Junior High in Los Angeles where there were gangs, drugs and bullies. This meant that I have firsthand knowledge of being a bit scared of going to school!

We started with the ad that was already working and decided to test color changes. We could have tested any variable on the ad.

We used the same landing page for each of the following ads. We then changed blotches of color, and the color of the shirt of the bully. At this point we switched over to measuring the tests by the cost per lead generated.

The costs per lead generated varied from $3 to $9. We used tests of 50 clicks or more.

Cost Per Lead

It is possible the $3 and $4 ads really had the same result, and it was just random chance. Going onward using the green shirt $3 lead was a safe bet.

ADL – Ad, Demographic, Landing page

The Ad (including title, image, and ad copy), the demographics, and landing page together make up what I call the ADL (Ad, Demographic, Landing page). Remember you read A.D.L. here first on John Chow’s blog!

Now that we had a decent ADL, (Ad, Demographic and Landing page) we wanted to see if we could lower the cost per lead by improving on the landing page. At this point I turned the landing pages on as I sat down to watch Avatar. This means the ads were going to run at night, which often yields a different result than during the day.

Testing Landing Page Variations

We started with the landing page we had used in the initial test. We then did variations of that.

I gave this part to Mihai my Romanian programmer. Vampires often choose red as the first color to test : )= (that is a vampire smiling which you also saw first here on John Chow’s blog!)

Here Mihai made the title totally red. The orange submit button comes from Shoemoney’s research that orange submit buttons often work best.

You never know what works, so you try whatever sounds interesting.

The downside of course of having a non native English speaker choose the text of the ads can have results like the one below.

The winning landing page gave us leads at $3.20 per lead. This was more expensive than earlier ads, which I think was because these ads were run at night, and had a lower fill in rate.

Ad Title Testing

Now we had a decent ADL, (Ad, Demographic and Landing page). We then tested new ad headlines to see what changes this would yield. There is no correct order to test in. You can go on and on like this, forever, or start completely over with a new concept. Remember this was all based on the thought that people learn to fight to prevent getting their butts kicked. We could have just as easily started with doing Jiu Jitsu to get stronger, improve balance, enhance self defense, get ready to get into the UFC, or a million other ideas. Another important thing we can test is what my co-speaker Mark Colacioppo CEO ofGlobalizer said, that you can test running the ads just during certain times of the day, and see when they perform the best.

We then tested 15 different titles on the ads, while keeping the rest of the ADL (Ad, Demographic and Landing page the same.) I honestly came up with these different titles in about 3 minutes, asking my staff who happened to be standing around me for any ideas they had.

The Winning Combination

The winner was, much to my surprise:

We now had an ADL, (Ad, Demographic, and Landing page) that got us leads at $1.43 per lead. So, no more fear for me! I had a success to present!

When the site goes live, we will be able to test these leads, and see if this is profitable. Whether it is or not, we will be back testing, testing and more testing to find the lowest possible cost per quality lead, and ultimately the greatest return on investment.

If you have facebook questions, just send an e-mail to me, dk or hit me up on twitter.

Those of us who get to read John’s blog are very lucky. If you read between the lines, you will see a story of a guy who comes from very humble beginnings, who worked very, very hard, studied hard, and pulled himself up to the top. John’s life is a fantastic and inspirational story that never says, why me?, but instead just pushes forward hard to success. It is a story that cuts across generations, cultures and languages. It is a story that is still being written!

John, thank you very much for letting me post this on your blog. I am very honored.

Much Love,

I never post articles by other bloggers (since I am really proud of my own research) however I was on ClickBank’s blog and saw this. Many affiliate guru’s tell newcomers what they need to be doing to make money promoting affiliate products however they never go into detail about how to actually do it. This explanation lists out some good points we all could take into consideration – even if not promoting ClickBank products.

Written by: Steven Clayton, Guest Blogger

One of the things I get asked a lot is where to begin as an affiliate marketer.

It can all be so overwhelming. There are so many different ways to get traffic, build sites, and pick products to promote (these are the three components of any affiliate marketing effort). In addition, some of these traffic and site building options can be expensive and highly technical, requiring a lot of training and expertise.

My goal in this post is to highlight a way to get started as an affiliate that’s relatively easy, risk-free, zero cost, has a great chance to make your first money online, and doesn’t require any technical knowledge or experience.

We’re going to use ClickBank for our product, a BlogSpot blog for our website, and search engine optimization to get traffic. If you’re totally new to search engine optimization and want a very quick introduction, you may want to check out this video.

Step 1 – Find 10 products you’re interested in promoting

One of the best parts of being an affiliate for ClickBank is that it’s so easy to get started because there are thousands of unique products to promote. Once you have a ClickBank account, go to the Marketplace and browse it to find products that you have an interest in and/or that you or someone you know would buy.

Make a note of the products, including their Pitch Pages and the custom HopLinks you’ll use to promote them (you’ll get these by clicking the Promote button next to the Marketplace listing). It’s a good idea to save this information in a text file on your computer.

Step 2 – Find potential keywords using Google’s keyword tool

Go to Google’s external keyword tool.

For each product you picked in Step 1, enter the most generic keyword that applies to your product. For example, if you’re promoting a product on how to cure tinnitus, use the keyword “tinnitus” and click the Get Keyword Ideas button.

Go over to the Match Type drop down box and select Phrase Match.

Sort the list in descending order of global search volume by clicking on the column Title.

Make a list of any keyword that is between 10000 and 30000 global monthly searches, and that has something to do with your product.

At the end of this step, you’ll have 10 lists. Some of these lists may be empty, as it’s possible that there won’t be any keywords that meet our criteria. We’re being very careful about selecting only the ones that will work for us, so have patience and don’t get discouraged.

Step 3 – Evaluate the competition for SEO

Now we need to see if it would be possible for us to actually rank in Google for terms that would drive traffic to the product we’re going to market. For each keyword identified in Step 2, head over to Google and type the keyword in quotes. For example, if the keyword phrase was “cure tinnitus,” you’d type “cure tinnitus” into Google.

You’ll see the search results and the words “Results 1-10 of about xx,xxx” on the right hand side. If the xx,xxx number is less than 100,000, move on to the next step. Otherwise, discard this keyword.

Do another Google search by typing inurl:”keyword phrase”. For example, for our keyword above it would be inurl:”cure tinnitus”. Take a look at the number of results again. If that number is below 1,250, this keyword is a winner. Make a note of it.

Step 4 – Pick the keyword you want to start with and build a BlogSpot blog

We’ve picked a BlogSpot blog for 2 reasons: it’s easy to build a nice-looking site quickly, and blogs rank very well in Google.

In general, pick the keyword phrase that has the highest search volume, the lowest competition numbers from step 3, and seems to be the best fit for someone looking to actually buy your product. There are really no wrong answers here, just go with your instinct using these criteria as a guide.

Build your BlogSpot blog. Sign up and watch the tutorials on how to create content like posts. When setting up your blog, make sure that the blog title is your keyword phrase.

Make sure that the blog address (URL) also contains the keyword phrase you’ve picked in some way. So in our example, best-tinnitus-cure, my-tinnitus-cure, etc., all work just fine. Dashes are fine anywhere, so with a bit of creativity you should have no trouble coming up with a name that’s not been taken.

The goal of your blog is to inform and to sell. Provide valuable content from the Pitch Page of the product, as well as outside resources. Add your HopLink to the actual product using text and possibly images. You can often get images from an affiliate page for the product, which can be found in the product’s Vendor Spotlight in the ClickBank Marketplace.

Important: Never make up any information about the product! I encourage you to buy the product or have someone you know purchase the product, so you can give a truthful and accurate opinion of it.

The exact steps to build out the site are too extensive to go into here, but an example should do the trick. Check this page out. It will give you a great idea of what we’re after.

Step 5 – Do some link building

Link building is the key to search engine optimization, and the best way to quickly get included in search engine results for the keyword you’re targeting.

The process of getting a backlink is a bit different for each option listed below, but you can’t go wrong here. The idea is to do three things: get a link to your site, use your keyword phrase in the description or tag when you’re using a bookmarking site, use your keyword phrase as the “anchor text” (the text that’s clickable…that is the actual link to your site) whenever possible. Don’t worry about getting this perfect…any link is better than a perfect link, and you can do no harm!

Blog comment posting is a popular way of getting backlinks. Here’s a nice page that explains how to do it.

Social bookmarking can be a great way to build backlinks to your site. Here’s a huge list of them! Just set up an account with them and add your site.

Web 2.0 properties like Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. are great places to put up a small amount of content and then to add a backlink to your site. Here’s a nice list of these types of sites.

Also take a look at this guest blog post I did previously for other ideas.

Try to build at least 5-10 backlinks every single day! This will give you the quickest results.

Conclusion

The most important part of this process is the keyword research in steps 2 and 3. If you have trouble finding the right keyword phrases for the 10 products you selected, go get 10 more and try again. Have patience. If you stick it out and find the right keywords, the rest will usually take care of itself.

After a while… it could be days, could be weeks, you should show up in the Google search results and people will click on your links to the ClickBank product and you’ll make your first money online! Best of luck in your affiliate marketing efforts.

So I decided I would add the Google Adsense 300×250 text blocks into the midst of my posted articles. Naturally, after I had set this all up I started to look through my posts just to see how the Adsense ads looked and what they contained. I noticed a few of the ads were not really related to what my blog is about – which is of course making money online.

I thought this can’t be right and possibly there was an option I overlooked when setting up the Adsense ad. I couldn’t see anything wrong with the ad options I picked so I started to look around for answers.

What I found out is that you can add tags to certain areas of the text in your post to make sure that Google Adsense delivers ads based on just that sectioned off area of text.

Example:

<!-google_ad_section_start->
This is the section of content Google uses when delivering ads for my page. You should keep this area filled with key words and phrases directed towards the theme of your blog.
<!-google_ad_section_end->

Adversely, your other option is to use the <!-google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore)-> tag on areas of your site that you wish for Google to ignore keeping your Adsense ads targeted to what your blog is about. I prefer the latter method however both work just as well.

Make sure you check your site over for this problem as you could be missing out on revenue caused by miss-targeted ads.

Few people discuss Google Adwords but rave over Google Adsense. I would pin this to the fact that Google Adwords costs you money and Adsense makes you money. But guess what, it doesn’t have to anymore! Let me explain to you how to take maximum advantage of Google Adwords.

Most affiliate marketers bid for ad exposure on Google Adwords mainly to attract people to a landing page designed to force a purchasing decision or the index of their site just to drive traffic numbers. While this method can get the desired traffic to your site or net you some purchases on the affiliate product, it doesn’t achieve both!

So how do you accomplish both gaining traffic to your site and selling a product at the same time? It’s simple! Create a post about a product you’ve reviewed such as an online service or eBook. Pre-sell the hell out of it by writing a compelling article on how this product or service can benefit the reader if they purchase it right now. Try to demonstrate the principal uses of the item at hand by providing examples of what it can do. Of course, you will need to include your affiliate link within the post and make it clear to the reader exactly what they need to do to get their hands on the product or service. The other thing you should not over look is try to add as many deep links to your other related posts as you possibly can.

Next, log into your Google Adwords account and set up your advertising campaign for that specific page on your blog. Do you see where I’m heading with this? Not only will this bring people into your blog, but also directly to a page that is selling something that may be of use to them (that is the reason they clicked on your Adwords ad in the first place right?). Remember the deep links to your other posts I told you about? These will serve as a pathway for visitors to explore other areas of you blog keeping them there longer and hopefully converting them into full fledged readers at the same time.

You could almost say that this technique serves three purposes – creating a sale, exposing your blog to new traffic and netting yourself some potential readers. I wish you luck and hope that this helps you to leverage the hell out of Google’s Adwords service and actually make you money at the same time. Google Adwords DOESN’T have to cost you money at the end of the day. It should MAKE you money. Why pay for advertising otherwise?
