The Best Way To Get Your WordPress Posts To Your Facebook Fan Page Wall

Sending  your Wordpress posts to your blogs’ Facebook fan page (if you don’t have one you should get on by the way as this is a powerful traffic tool and I just set mine up) is not a simple task. You would think that there is a plugin or application out there that would make this easy. Well I found what I think works the best.

There are a plethora of Wordpress plugins, Facebook applications and desktop programs out there that claim to do this desired task. Well they do, just not in a way that you’d wish. Some of them post to Facebook but do not display thumbnails. Others will post but there is a 2 hours time delay because they are processed through a server (you don’t want this if you are trying to get out a hot story). A few of them can post to Facebook but only in a box tab or only on your main profile wall page (not your fan wall page) and some just plain do not post at all! How can you run a successful blog with all of this unreliability?

So what works that isn’t complicated and doesn’t require setting up a third party account? It’s simple! On your wall where it says “What’s on your mind?” within the “Share” box write in the description of your blog post. Then just below it click on the “Attach Link” icon which will bring up a link field. Copy and paste the deeplink from the post on you blog and click on “Attach” beside it. Now you are ready to click on the “Share” button and fill in the word verification box field and you’re now done!

This posts a beautiful looking update on you fan page wall complete with your page photo, a hyperlink to your’re original post, a short excerpt to entice your readers and a thumbnail from you post or whichever image the link finds first.
